Dan River Campground Access   This access is privately owned and maintained and is not open to the public. One of the best access points on the river, this access is centrally located on the Dan River  in Rockingham County.  There is a  great run from either Lindsay Bridge access (about 6 miles and 3 hours) or from 704 bridge (about 3.5 miles and 2 hours).  There is a nice, mostly flat water run from here to Settle Bridge (about 3.5 miles and 2 hours).  Use of this access is restricted to customers of Dan River Adventures and campers at Dan River Campground.


   Lindsey Bridge Access  is the northern most access we use.  Up river from this access is a dam.  views are shown below.

704 Bridge Access is in Madison.  There are steps here down to the river.  There is a large parking lot and the access is well maintained by Dixie Penn and the M&M recreation center.  Below are up river and down river views of the access.
